WEEK OF APRIL 16-20: We will continue practicing Telling Time in Spanish. Next Monday/Tuesday you will have an oral quiz on this. We will also name classroom objects.
SPANISH HOMEWORK (INDEPENDENT WORK Spanish In My World.
Each month you will submit, at least one independent work about your experience with the Spanish language and/or the Hispanic culture.
You will look for something in Spanish and write half a page about what you understood, as well as new words that you learned. You will write your entry in ENGLISH. Suggestions include the following:
1) listening to 105.3 FM;
2) watching a program in Spanish;
3) changing the language on one of your favorite movies to Spanish;
4) finding a label or a sign in Spanish;
5) changing the checkout language in the store cashier from English to Spanish;
6) finding an article in Spanish;
7) playing a game from my website; and
8) visiting a cultural event or restaurant where Spanish is spoken.
These will be on-going assignments until the end of the school year (May). Your journal of independent learning will be due at the end of each month and should be submitted online. Always use Google Classroom to share your documents with me.
DUE DATES: September 29th, October 31st, November 30th, December 15th, January 31st, February 28th, March 30th, April 30, and May 18th.
REFLECTION ASSIGNMENTS ABOUT OUR IDENTITY PROGRAM: The same way you submit a Spanish assignment at the end of the month, you need to submit an assignment in which you reflect on our Identity activities on Fridays. Both the Spanish and the Identity assignments are due the same day of the month.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE ABSENT THE DAY OF THE IDENTITY ACTIVITY, YOU NEED TO DOUBLE UP ON THE SPANISH ASSIGNMENTS. THAT IS, YOU NEED TO SUBMIT TWO SPANISH ASSIGNMENTS, INSTEAD OF ONLY ONE.
